Get those sealed up, mine were like that too, and they LEAK! Clean very well and put some new Eternabond OVER the old stuff. The issue is they used screws meant to be countersunk. The metal bracket just has holes and no countersink, therefore the screws stick up. The second layer of Eternabond leveled out nicely and hasn’t worn through.
