I came close to buying a 305 I really liked the floor plans. I bought a 323 HC used. I'm a tight wad. A gas truck will pull a 305 no doubt. It just depends on how fast and how far you are going to go. If you go west the roads can reach high elevations. I80 at Laramie WY is 8800 feet. You loose 3.6 percent of your power for every 1000 feet that's 31 percent. That is still doable but just not very fast. I know I did it and when I got home I bought my first Diesel.
