Don not to argue with you and I do like you homemade tester but I have one of the portable Progressive units and not a hardwired on. I plug it in and it will tell me in a minute or two whether that post is good or not to hook the Monte up to it. I also have the Progressive unit because there have been many reports of power surges and shortages caused by problems on the camp ground grids and the Progressive units have saved the Monte systems from them also. That is why I've invested in the Progressive unit. I know a few that run without the protection but to me that extra money I spent on the Progressive unit could save me a whole lot more if something happens while I'm hooked up to that post at a campground.
