The one thing about the deep cycle flooded 6 volt batteries is that when you are using them in a solar application, and getting them up to 14.8 volt charge, you had better be checking the water in them monthly. At that voltage they bubble furiously and will need water added on a regular schedule.
My last Interstate batteries lasted 7 years. At that stage they were using lots of water and not holding the charge as long as I would of liked. Replaced with Trojan T105's and expect they will last just as long.
