You will be fine with the 50 amp cord, the 50 amp Surgegard, and an adapter to connect to the 30 amp receptacle. You can put the Surgegard next to the power pole or next to the RV connection. Being next to the RV enables protection for the 50 amp cord from the pole to the RV.


We run more on 30 amp than anything else. As said before, turn off the electric water heater, consider running the refer on propane and run no more than one high amp draw device at a time.
