Well we are sitting in AZ now and sorry I didn't post sooner but we headed out of Baton Rouge on I-10 and took it all the way to where we got off it here in Benson, AZ. There is plenty of construction along I-10 and the road just west of Baton Rouge is a little rough but nothing that bad if you take your time and keep your speed down between 60-65 which we normally drive at anyway. I-10 in Texas was pretty good with some construction again but that is typical for any highways down South any time of the year. There were some narrow lanes in the construction sites but nothing that should bother you. If they make them wide enough for semi's, it's no problem with the fiver. One thing you will have to watch for is "road alligators" or the retreads that have come off the semi's. They are quite numerous along the whole route on I-10. Just take your time and keep your eyes open for the "gators"! Take care and have a good trip to warm country!
