I second the Cody Trout Ranch, nothing fancy, but out of town and quiet. The campsites were clean and the people taking care of the campground were absolutely some of the best host we've run across. The only downside it is newer and has a lack of shade. We have also stayed in the KOA in Cody several times including this year and it is your typical KOA, staff was friendly but it has lots of traffic and spaces are cramped, we parked our truck out in an overflow area so it would not get door dinged by our neighbor. Don't miss the Chief Joseph Scenic Highway, back way into the NorthEast entrance/Cooke City. We saw 90% of our wildlife in this way and Lamar Valley.
