Slide Awning Bracket Screws

Has anyone had problems with the screws holding the roller to the slide on slide awnings. We one bracket shear off all 5 screws. The awning was laying on top the bedroom slide. Was not too bad of a fix. We had to offset the bracket about 1/4 inch and put in new screws. This method was done at the advice of our dealer. Drill outs of the old screws was not recommended. We then checked the other slides and found about half of the screws were sheered of and the heads came out leaving about 1/4 inch of screw to the screw head. These were #8 self tapping. We changed all the screws to # 10 self tapping. We off set the new screws from the old broken ones abut 1/4 inch. My friend with a 2 month old 3400 experienced the same problem. Factories are either tightening the screws too tight ,or using too small of a screw with the slide awnings.
