They work if you pay attention to them  . I was 40 miles from home headed on a vacation, had not replaced the China bombs yet. TPMS reading on one tire started increasing in temperature and pressure, kept monitoring it, kept increasing. “I’ll just stop at the next rest area to check it”.... KABOOM.... $3K damage.  I will never wait for a rest area again.
