I had basically the same problem. Finally called an RV repairman. There are many many small wires that make everything work, one of our had come off during the last move. He pointed it out to me and I could just barely see it, let alone figure out what it did or where it went. He connected it and all is well.
On edit: The loose wire was in back of the furnace, he found it by removing the large cover in the basement that hides the water pump, rear of the furnace, etc.
