We were at Cheney Lake west of Wichita last year camping right next to the water on the west side. We had gone out in our boat and decided to come back in for a while ... as we were about to anchor near the shore, I saw a whole family of our Latin American neighbors sitting in our lawn chairs, kids playing in the ashes in our fire ring, and another standing at our picnic table heating up our Weber Q grill. I walked up and asked what the H+++ was going on here and that this site has been reserved, this is our camper, and this area is not a day use option for just anyone to use. Of course no one spoke any English (supposedly) ... they just muttered something to one another and calmly walked to their pickup and drove off. A lengthy discussion with me and a park ranger shortly followed, but nothing was done. Geeze Louise!
