I would not be without 4x4. It has saved me several time while towing the Monty. I also drive the tow vehicle all through the winter here in western PA. We don't get all that much snow but then again, when it hits.....IT HITS!

I have also used the low range in the 4x4 transfer case to assist maneuvering the trailer in tight or hilly areas. Or when I have to pull the trailer up a steep hill very slowly. The low range cuts the strain on the transmission by 50%.
