I had to raise the front jacks on our 2015 Monty account very low ground clearance. I drilled additional holes in the mounting pads to raise the front jacks account they were in the top hole already. I now have plenty of ground clearance and have never had to add blocks under them to unhook or to get level. The other four jacks are high enough to be no problem as is.

As to stability when leveled up the longer the rams are extended from the cylinders the more wiggle one will have. If we're just overnighting I don't put blocks under the pads but if we're going to stay longer than that I put down two 2 1/2" blocks under each pad to reduce ram extension and make the RV more stable.
