I've lived in NH (there now in fact)and 112 is a beautiful drive but I wouldn't take my rig on it. It has lots of grades and turns on grades with switchbacks. It's just me but I try to avoid anything over 7% with my rig. This is probably the one road in NH I would not tow on.

Having said that, it's not a drive to miss, probably the prettiest ride in New England. Find a nearby camp and drive it unhooked.

PS: We're in Ossipee, NH now and headed for Bar Harbor via Moosehead Lake. We'll be taking rte 16 north then rte 2 most of the way. We'll be at Moosehead until the 6th and then Bar Harbor for a week.
