Garry asked me about things to do in the Conway area. My niece has a cabin in that area and she has prepared this for others traveling to the area. I sent it to Garry, but in case anyone else is traveling here it is for Conway, NH:

The Muddy Moose
The White Mountain Hotel (somewhat dressier than the others)
Things to do:
The Kancgamangas Highway…many hiking and swimming areas
Sabbaday Falls on the Kanc
Cathedral Ledge
Echo Lake State Park
Saco River if you like to kayak or canoe (Saco Bound will also bring a kayak to Conway Lake or Saco River to meet you)
Cannon Mountain and Wildcat Mountain both have Tram Rides
Attitash Mountain for a scenic chair lift, alpine slides, mountain coaster, waterslides
Cranmore has a summer adventure park with mountain coaster, summer tubing, etc.
The Cog Railroad for a wild train ride!
Franconia Notch train ride
Moose Tours – highly recommended…we saw 5 or 6 when we went!! (wmvmoosetours.com for reservations)
The Beach at Conway Lake is a great place to swim
The outlet stores at Settlers Green and on Main Street are great for a rainy day
