I have seen a lot of folks mounting the taigaters on the ladders rather than directly on the roof and setting them up so that they can be removed and put on a tripod when necessary. I even saw one guy that had his mounted on a flag pole sort of setup so he could get it higher in the air to clear shorter trees (in some situations that would work). Here in Arkansas we have a LOT of large trees at most campgrounds and getting a signal gets real tricky. In many cases not only do you need a tripod but also a very looonnnnnnggggggg cable. In other cases you better bring a bunch of DVDs......
