We had ours plumbed and wired for washer and drier and are glad we didn't have them put in. We use the space for vacuum cleaner, broom, dust pan, dirty clothes container and hang our coats and other things in there.
We have no problem going to a laundromat and washing four loads at once rather than one at a time. Saves a lot of time.
