Made up my own with a couple clear 10" canisters from Amazon on a homemade bracket along with a few fittings, including two for garden hose thread. The filter media - a couple of 5 micron carbon block Home Depot filters with a 5 gallon/minute flow. There is, if necessary, media available that will filter just about every thing from lead, mercury, cysts and other nasties but they get very expensive and usually have a reduced flow rate to about a gallon/minute unless you go to a 20" canister version.

We have also used the Camco in line filters while traveling and they too work fine for at least 2-3 weeks on the road. We also carry a couple gallon jugs of bottled water, JIC
