Ditto to the other's comments, septic paper, the water softener trick in the tanks (specially when running, so it sloshes around),

Another trick (does not apply if you are boondocking), repeat the mantra: LESS PAPER, MORE WATER!

(Oh, and gently used paper goes in a trash can NOT the toilet, this cuts down on solids in the tank.)

Forget the silly guages, go forth, and CAMP ON!!
