Agree with Richfaa. found through personal experience that a split at the top of the tank will occur when over filled. The leak only occurs when driving and sloshing water around in the tank or when filled to the top again. Tank failure is a somewhat common problem and can be fixed or replaced depending on your energy level!! good luck

I may have this issue. Sounds like good excuse for that snake rope camera I want!!
