I use the adapter H. John Kohl's link shows. I've used it for years. 95% of the time I use that adapter rather than drag out the 50 amp cord.

With the electrical setup on our early-2003 Montana, we can run everything on 30 amps that we could run on 50 amp. The newer Montanas have a better electrical setup so the situation may be different but 30 amps will still work just fine for any Montana for many situations. There may be times you need 50 amps.

We can run the washer, the dryer, and the AC unit all at the same time on a 30 amp connection. To run the microwave we'll pause one of those.

In other words, for our setup, 30 amps is plenty.
