Had the same problem. Went to Camping World (or a dealer will have them) and got new latches with a longer blade. I didn't swap the entire latch unit, I just removed the screw and swapped in the longer blade. That was more than a year ago and it's still working.
Maybe Keystone will see this and start using longer latches.
