In order to get the Rv off the truck hitch the front of the RV will be higher than the rear. After removing the truck we autolevel. The return to the unhook height has always worked as long as we stay in auto level mode if you go into manual mode at anytime you will lose that setting.

The auto level function has always worked perfectly for us since new in 2013. We raise the RV off the hitch, move the truck forward, hit auto level and watch. When hooking we hit both function at the same time , the RV returns to the unhook level, we line up the truck and hitch, then retract all in auto level mode, has always worked. You do need to check the distance the legs need to retract when leveling to avoid a "out of stroke " msg.Once you go to manual to deal with that you have wiped out the return to unhook height function. You still need to use blocks or boards to get the RV somewhat level and the distance the legs need to travel before auto level to avoid the "out of stroke " msg. The message marketing sends is that we can just pull into a spot hit auto level and it will level....not so.The Rv need to be comparatively level before we do the auto level.
