John and Marge asked about the bike racks, and after using the front hidden hitch on the truck for the Gun Lake trip, Al has decided that it tain't so bad driving with 2 bikes out front after all. Said he adjusted to the "view" in about an hour.
After much searching, questioning, reading, surfing, we have decided to stay away from the back hitch on Montana. Part of the problem is that we just don't want anyone messing with the back end of that 5er. Al was able to install the hidden hitch himself and is confident in it.
Besides, we don't have to pay out any more coin. To get the hitch on the back of Montana would have cost somewhere between $300 and $600. That is a LOT of coin! I think he said the hidden hitch was about $100.
So, until he changes his mind again, the bike hitch saga is at its end! THANK GOODNESS!
