The CAC inter cooler pipe on the bottom side of the Turbo is plastic and gets brittle over time, I replaced mine with an after market, several options to include stainless steel. Easy install, about the same as a radiator hose replacement except clamps are different. Carry the original as a spare, doubt I will ever need it.

Correction, when I said 7.3, I meant 6.7!! Never had turbo issue with our 7.3 or 6.0 Ford diesels.
