We have two Honda 2000's, sitting in the bed of the truck in a welded steel cage with 1" bars through the handles. The extended run fuel tank sits between them under where the hitch pin enters the hitch. When I am not towing, the locking tonneau cover and locking tail gate add additional protection. When it is time to run the generator, I put the tailgate down and the recoil starter is at chest level, making it very easy to start. I see lots of Yamaha's also these days, but I still think the Honda has a better form factor (shorter, squattier). Lots of good solutions out there, choose what's right for you.
