Silvertwinky, make sure you drain the hot water tank OFTEN! When water is left in it for a long period of time it will stink and turn black. I empty my water tank every time I come home or when on a long trip, maybe every 3/4 weeks. I carry tools and teflon tape for the threads of the anode rod. My anode rod will be 4 years old in August and looks like it has a couple more years left!
We used the coach over the weekend and I drained it today for this Fridays trip to Branson.
