Probably not out of the water long to make a difference. Saw this info on the net..."Flying fish actually glide on the surface of the water, in order to flee from the predators. They can stay airborne up to about 20 seconds traveling at speeds of about 46kph (29mph) They should be able to hold their breath that long...hopefully...
