Do the simple things first....easy enough to check the batteries and propane, After that take a hose up on the roof and run water down the vent pipe and make sure it is going into the tank. All kinds of stuff could block it and cause sewer smell to back up into the cabin. If it overflowed into the underbelly you would think the smell would have stayed but easy enough to pull a fell screws and take a look. Or could have been just the empty toilet bowl and conditions where right for air to come down the vent instead of making like a chimney and flowing out.
