We have a 2007 Montana 3400RL and removed all the carpet in the kitchen and LR area, but NOT the slides, a few years ago and replaced it with Allure Vinyl Plank Flooring. Overall, it was quite easy to do. It is a lot easier to keep clean than the carpet. We still have carpet in the slides as I wasn't comfortable with how the vinyl in the slides would "mesh" with the main floor with the slides out.
It was not expensive either. End result is very nice. Sorry no pix - RV is winterized with cover right now.
