The search teams are continuing but it looks like only one death from the tornado. It was a friend of my buddy's, Steve Newbower, a construction worker. He had taken shelter in his basement and was sucked out and thrown up into a tree. They have confirmed it was an F-4 with winds 170 - 190 mph. There were actually 9 twisters in the surrounding Peoria area, this one being the largest which stayed on the ground for the longest. We have given our generator to some old neighbors in Washington who have three small children. I thought about lending a hand with construction skills but the National Guard have the town "locked down" with a curfew in place for now.
