Actually you can parallel the Hondas without the special cable, just use 2 - 3prong (15/20amp) plugs wired in parallel to the 30 amp trailer connector. If you look at the internal wiring diagram I think the special connectors just bypass the circuit breakers. I have used and seen many setups like this over the last few years.
