John, thanks for the heads up, I have had several of the stainless brushes do exactly that and have found a wire in my mouth. I have tossed out all my brushes also. Mine had the 3/4 to 1 inch bristles and were about 3x3 or 4x4 in size with a scraper. Kept the scraper... Dave
