I have used both and found that they are both good for a couple years then the price tends to go up a little every couple months. Besides that if you full time in the Monty with dish you have to buy the equipment and cannot get some options, with direct they have a package just for rvers all you have to do is ask. I found that direct is easier to set up in uper mid west but dish was easier in the south.
