Just FYI we are home, but no stick house. We have an RV lot we built. There is a closed school across the street and us and many neighbors do use that as a storm shelter. Thanks for the responses, I figured I was missing something and closing the slides is a great idea. More weight over the rams and the slide toppers retracted out of the hail. Great idea, thanks! As for trying to guess the winds that's an issue. Winds here are predictable and we're faced well for those, severe thunderstorms are another matter. The wind can come from anywhere, so I have the truck parked along the side of the rig to try and push the wind up and over. Seems to work to a certain extent.
