Judy, Sorry to hear of your loss. Our thoughts are with you.

This brings up a good point that I used to tell my patients, especially the men. Do your family and yourself a big favor, If you are feeling ill, especially in the chest or in the arms or the jaw, or are short of breath; GET A CHECKUP!!!!

Proper care CAN and does prevent heart attacks......Don't let your doctor or care provider shrug it off. Demand an EKG, one of the simplest procedures available and it can show alot. If it is normal, you now have a baseline. I recommend you carry a copy of the tracings with you. If you need another, they can compare the two and detect any recent abnormalities. Most of us are in that age category that we become more vulnerable to heart disease...........
