I'm resurrecting an old post, but I have some 'interesting' information. I recently received a special offer from Direct TV, so I went to their website to figure out what changing would really cost me. To get four receivers, 3 with HD/DVR capabilities plus one HD receiver for the trailer would require an up front cost of $500. This would also include only one dish, but I understand I can buy other dishes elsewhere. However, in chatting with a DTV online agent, I discovered that if I didn't like the system - no matter what the reason, there is no refund for the equipment and a cancellation fee!

No DTV for me!!!
