We annually take our granddaughters, who live in Springfield, VA, a D.C. suburb, camping for a week before school starts again. This year we'll be there in early August (I know, hot and humid then). The girls will be 14 and 13 in July.

For the past several years we've taken them to "Mountain View Campground at Silver Lake", at Haymarket, VA, about 35 miles west of D.C. on I66. It has a nice lake with swimming area and white sand beach. Lots and lots of trees and shade, good distance between sites, etc.

This year we're thinking we'd like to try a different campground. It has to have either a lake with swimming area or a good pool. We don't like to be crammed in too tight, like our privacy as much as possible.

Would appreciate any ideas.
