Final Follow-up on Skirt Painting Project
Well my friends, I finished placing the final coat on the fender skirts. The brown Rustoleum "hammered look" worked out very well for my Montana. I was stupid to try and spray the last coat on since I am NOT good at spray painting. After some research, I found that a 1/4" mohair nap, 9-inch roller ($5.00 from Lowes) and a synthetic bristle brush (for cutting in, fine tuning and over the fenders) worked out very well. The roller minimizes streaking and the hammer-look makes even the flaws look like they belong there.
I attached two close-up pictures and two side-view pictures so you could really get a sense of the look. I am very pleased (and so was the BOSS) on how it turned out.
Thanks for the support and good luck on your endeavors.
