Our thinking was when we purchased our first new Montana was that since we were full time we should have extended warranty. But after 3 years we still have only used it once for a minor issue. But our Norcold has never been right so we will see in the next 2 years if we need to use it for replacing that.

For us it was simply a 5 year insurance plan that we paid up front.
