Something to consider. If you are required to have a commercial license go ahead and get one. If it is not required you may not want to get one. If you have a CDL and you have an alcoholic beverage with a meal your percentage for legal limit is 0.04% and non CDL is 0.08%. I almost never drink alcohol but will occasionally have a glass of wine with a meal. If I did get pulled over for some reason I didn't want to be over the limit.
