Agree with prndl … stay in Moab for Arches, Canyonland, and Dead Horse. Move on west and stay around Zion National Park for the sights over that way. Beats being on the road more trying to get there than taking in the sights. We stayed at Spanish Trails in Moab abit a bit pricey. For the Zion, Bryce views, we initially stayed at Zion River Resort, but our sight was extremely close quartered with our neighbors, so we moved on to Hurricane, UT and stayed at Willowwind which was WAY better and had tons of shade. We had an easy hour and a half drive to reach the North Rim of the Grand Canyon from there as well.
