I am only tough on my students and myself—especially myself. In fact I am kicking myself right now for the spelling error in my post a few up the page.
I am a southerner, and therefore, an heir to a wealth of colloquialisms, but like you say, they do extend further than we sometimes like to think.
Looks like we have a storm approaching, but we are thankful for two gorgeous days of blue skies and warm weather.
