Now she is combining Rice-writing with beading and jewelry making. I want to try the rice-writing as soon as I find stronger magnifiers.
She made this necklace for a customer yesterday. It took her 5 hrs, with the rice writing, there is set-up and clean-up time for the tiny ink pen cartridge, then the beading for the sleeves. She makes the sleeves the colors a customer requests. At $50.00 I think she loses money, but she loves to do the work. This gal wanted her husbands name on one side of the rice and her name on the other. One grandmother asked for all her grandkids' names.
The ink is waterproof, and it is in mineral oil of some sort so you can read the rice writing. The oil even comes in different colors, the small holders are all different also. Neat stuff....
