There`s a weight/ air pressure chart on here some where and if you KNOW the weight of your trailer ready to travel you can lower the pressure to the weight carried. At some point I weighed the unit at full load and the chart says I can safely run at 95lbs on 110lb Saluins. I`m sure it makes a difference to the stuff inside the unit. But after a time the TMP monitor says the pressure rises to 102-103 on a warm day on the sunny side. YMwillV
