In my opinion, it's not worth the trouble it will be to get it cut thru the wall and plumbed in. I spent most of a day doing this in my house, and the result is that it doesn't work as well as a dedicated range hood. It's not worth it.

I think part of the problem is that there are too many spots for air to be drawn in thru the sides and top of the microwave, so not as much as you would think comes up from the bottom to vent the cooking smells.
