You wont hurt your controller or solar... no worries there.
If the other batteries are weak however, putting a good one in there will pull it down to their level. Your battery bank is only as strong as its weakest battery.
If you are sure the others are ok, and they are not real old it will be ok. Not the best solution but not the worst.
Were all the batteries the same age? How old?
