We have the stacked units which we bought on craigslist for < $500. Wouldn't want it any other way. So much so that when it's time to replace the 3400 we will not buy a rig that doesn't have room for separate units. They took a ton of space and added about that much weight (slight exaggeration) but well worth it to us. If we were retired or didn't full time we may have a different opinion but simple time management decision for us. An hour every couple/few days in our own home whenever/however we like (just like our S&B) vs running back and forth to the park laundry or worse spending valuable free time sitting in a laundry mat.
