Yes, several times. I try to walk two miles everyday and when you're in strange area's you don't know where the pit bulls and farm dogs are. Never had to shoot one (they seem to realize if you point something at them while hollering "NO" and aren't afraid they should reconsider) but it's been real close a couple of times.
