I had one that wouldn't take grease. By the time I got to fix it, the wet bolt had fused to the remaining brass bearing with road grime. When I went to install new bearing and wet bolt, the hole that the serrated part of the bolt is supposed to grab had been worn by the bolt turning. Had to weld in a new shackle in order to fix.

I also replaced my fittings with 45 degree ones. Much easier to get the grease gun firmly on the fitting.
